Among dense forests, marshy lowlands, along rocky shores and in the Ropotamo River itself, more than 500 species of flowering plants grow, including extremely rare water lilies. The marshes and rivers in the area come alive in spring and autumn with thousands of birds migrating along the Via Pontica.
The total area of "Ropotamo" includes several more zones: the Lion's Head and the Snake House, the Water Lilies reserve, protected areas - the Arkutino, Stampolu bogs, as well as the Perla (Pearl) sand dunes. The rivers Ropotamo and Dyavolskaya flow through the city, and the famous Oil Cape is 6 km away. Of particular interest is the ancient Via Pontica bird trail, which characterizes the Primorsko resort area as exceptionally ecologically clean.
